First result on experimenting using artist oils on skin tones.

One of the four figures from DML's US Marines - Iwo Jima, 1945. Kit was quite old (*about 8 years), so details like the web gear had to be re-scribed using hobby knife.

Marine missing a finger due to unfortunate falling accident. :dohtwo: Steel pot straps made from masking tape cut down to size. Loose hand also a problem... Hand too "open" to be gripping a rifle. >.<

Combination of oils and hobby enamel paints were used to finish the model. Overdid on the skin washing though.. Now Marine looks over-tanned even for an American in the Pacific theatre. XD Maybe painting uniform plain olive green a mistake too. He resemble Nip soldier from a distance. =_=

Man, you are REALLY good with these model things. Wish I could do this sort of job. I tend to run out of patience and hand-eye co-ordination after about an hour :P

Your so good! I think you have to be quite patient to paint a model, yes? That's something that's kind of limited with me. xD Looks like it was fun! The outcome was great!! :clap:
